THE ELECTRONIC SECURITY CENTER

Our Mission
The Electronic Security Center (ESC) was established in 1983 by Army Regulation 190-13 to be the Center of Expertise for Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and is located at the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center in Huntsville, AL. Designated and chartered as the Mandatory Center of Expertise (MCX) for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers security projects,  the ESC provides a extensive range of Electronic Security System (ESS) related services to the Army and U.S. Government agencies worldwide. These services embrace criteria development, contracting, project management, consultation, planning, design, installation, testing, training and maintenance related to electronic and physical security, force protection, anti-terrorism, and vulnerability reduction. Working in hand with our sister MCX at the Protective Design Center (PDC) in Omaha, NE; the ESC can fulfill all of your security needs.

Global Work Experience of the ESC

Our Team Approach
The ESC Project Delivery Teams (PDT) include qualified and seasoned Technical Managers, Project Engineers, Program and Project Managers, Contract Officers and Specialists with various support personnel and most importantly - YOU, the customer. Through the power of virtual teaming across the USACE organization, the ESC PDT can leverage its resource of experts in various engineering disciplines as needed for your project and work in partnership with our district offices located throughout the U.S. and around the world.  All of these elements can work together as a close-knit group to respond quickly and efficiently to your security needs, no matter your location.

Our Expertise
ESC personnel are comprised of formally trained engineers, technicians, retired military and former contractors with extensive backgrounds in performing site surveys, design, construction, installation, and testing of security sensors and systems for commercial and military applications. We can share this expertise with you through our Security Systems Design Course. Click on the Training link to learn more.
